Knowing they had idea what the adult sex industry was
I recently saw the movie “Pretty Woman” for the first time. I had just started working on the forums as a moderator when a friend invited me to her house for a girls’ night, complete with drinks, movies, and raw sex talk. We watched the movie. By the end, some of my friends were all talking about how horrible it was for the poor women forced to live this life and how they never wanted to be in that situation. I just sat there watching them, knowing they had no idea what the adult sex industry was. They believed that the movie “Pretty Woman” was an accurate representation of what the adult sexual world was like. Of course, given my job, I knew that wasn’t the case. I ended up watching the movie again last night and it just confirmed it for me: the adult sexual world in Pretty Woman is not the adult sexual world we know. Here’s why.
Victims Needing Rescue
This is one of the most frustrating things to hear. People who are not familiar with the adult sex industry have two main beliefs about the people who work in it: they are victims who need to be saved, and these people are incapable of doing this for themselves. Look at the main character in the movie. She was about to be picked up by a knight in a shiny chariot and swept off her feet.
Actually, I have to say that they think that women in adult sex work
Need to be saved because men always seem to be forgotten. For one reason or another, women who work in the world of sex, adults are considered weak and unable to make their own decisions. They think, “Hey, this person lives off adult sex. That means they have no self-confidence and think they are worthless. They were probably forced to live in this horrible world or they have no other choice. Except that their idea of ”saving” people from this world is to make their job difficult. In Ireland, that includes making sexual relations between adults illegal. If you take away the demand, you take away the supply, right? That’s how it works. Look at American prohibition and all the laws that prevent us from taking drugs.
